“What if every conference held in #Flanders provides data about it’s water impact?”

And “What if every conference held in Flanders were water responsible?” Both goes well together. Delivering clear, quality-assured data on main sustainability parameters are a USP for ESG reporting, behaviour change, case studies.

We show how “water” can enrich communication and how data inform about saving water, during the IMPACT DAY in Bruges next week, October 14, 2024.

Imagine a future where every event, big or small, leaves a positive impact on our most precious resource—water. From demonstrating sustainable catering practices to becoming water-efficient venues and hotels, and from waste reduction to clean water initiatives, every conference can make a difference. Stories about local water shift understanding of it’s social importance and the challenges faced in the host destination, as well as inspire about spiritual, digitalized and innovative aspects of water.

🌟When you are in Bruges, watch out for the Screen at the conference hotel Crowne Plaza Brugge and the information about water presented to you there.

To carefully change behaviour towards water, it needs communication (in addition to technology and governance). For communication, we must have access to needs-based, quality-assured water information and data improving water use and -savings in hotels and venues.

At FrauBlau, we collaborate with curated innovation partners to use AI driven, real-time digital sensoring technology which shows water use data and any leakage or irregularities occuring in the hotel. This way, pain points of water waste can be repaired immediately and the water savings achieved through the method are massive – up to 40-50 percent, depending on the location’s pipes and fitting conditions.

Story-telling about water can be integrated in visualizing ALL smart data available in a building. Screens in locations where people come together then communicate digital data about water, energy, air, grey water, climate etc. Speak to Johanna in Bruges, if you want to know more.

Together with Visit Flanders, the #CareForWater campaign at Impact Day in Bruges, encourages the business event industry to familiarize itself with water innovation that can deliver necessary data for communication. By doing so, it is only a small step to take responsibility for water use and -footprint. Let us ensure that each gathering contributes to a healthier, more sustainable water future.

This is best practise to turn every conference (and venue, hotel or gathering points) into water advocates and to accelerate achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goal) #6 and #14 !

Changing sustainable behavior starts by rethinking how we value water – it is at the core of all other systems and SDGs.

Thank you for your interest and engagement for water sustainability!
